The customer on this job was complaining of unreliable hot water temperature delivery and they also ran out of hot water on a regular basis. The Dux unit is a reliable and durable unit, this one was just at the end of its useable life.
The decision was made to install a Rheem Metro 26 50 Deg C unit. The gas meter was close by so this option was an affordable choice and installation only required a minor gas pipe upgrade.
These jobs are more affordable than you may think, in fact sometimes on a par, cost wise with putting in a good quality storage tank.
This unit is factory set to 50 Deg C so the customer now has a constant and continuous supply of hot water. The Rheem Metro is a quality unit made in Japan. It has a 10 year warranty on the heat exchanger. The Rheem unit also comes complete with status monitor on the front cover so the customer always know what the unit is doing at a glance.
