Aquamax water leak

This is the mix valve of an Aquamax gas hot water service.  It is hard to see in this picture, the black round valve is leaking a large amount of water.

Too many people think they need a new hot water system when this leaks, however, it is just a minor repair job for Gas Assist.

If you have an Aquamax, before you replace it,contact us because in many cases it can be fixed.  We can in most cases repair all Aquamax G200, G205, G340SS, G390SS, G270VE, G270SS and Kwikhot 40 models.

Pilot won't relight

Our customer could not relight the pilot on this system.  Clearly, it was on its last legs, so we gave it a basic service to get it operational. 

However, this amount of rust discovered indicates the system was on borrowed time.  This rust is from the inside of the cylinder corroding away.  Eventually, the cylinder lets go and ruptures, leaking water.

We were able to advise the customer it was time to think about a new unit, which they did and we installed a new system for them at a convenient time.

We call this a considered purchase.  The customer was able to select the unit they wanted after researching the  options that we advised.


Woke up to no hot water

It was too late for this system.  The cylinder had ruptured and leaked water onto the burner.

No other option other than replacement for this system.

We install new hot water systems, so our customer had hot water again in 3 hours.

We recommend leading brands like Rinnai, Aquamax, Rheem and Vulcan.
